WTCHH Joins Centurions Path:
Sharing First Responder Family Insights

What Happens When Podcasts Join Forces?

At When The Call Hits Home (WTCHH), we know how important first responder family support is. That’s why we are so excited to tell you about a special event: Ashlee and Jennifer from our podcast were invited as guests on a different show, the Centurions Path Podcast! This is a big deal for us and for our community.

Why This Collaboration Matters

When podcasts team up, especially those focused on helping first responder families, everyone wins. By joining the Centurions Path Podcast, Ashlee and Jennifer got to share their experiences as therapists and as kids of police officers. This is a topic that doesn’t always get a lot of attention, but it is so meaningful for those of us living in first responder families. As Jennifer said, “it was a really powerful, fun experience” to talk about these important topics together 01:25.

The Power of First Responder Family Support

First responder families go through a lot. While the world often focuses on the responders themselves, the families waiting at home are affected too. We experience the “aftershocks” of tough calls and long shifts 03:37. As Jennifer shared, “we’re not the ones that have a badge on our chest and we’re not the ones responding to calls.” But the impact of that work still touches us deeply.

That is why first responder family support matters so much. Supporting each other helps everyone heal, grow, and stay strong. Ashlee talked about how small and close this community is, and how important it is to lift each other up instead of pushing each other down 02:27. When one of us shares our story, we all benefit.

Collaboration Builds Community

By coming together with other podcasts like Centurions Path, we can share more stories and reach more people. Jennifer believes “rising waters raise all boats” 02:55, meaning when we help each other, we all do better. It’s not about competition; it’s about community. We all want the same thing: to help first responders and their families.
